2021 Christmas Appeal

Ezo, South Sudan

If you want to think ahead 1 year plant a seed, 10 years plant a tree, but if you want to think ahead 100 years educate the children.”

Masumbu Primary School

Masumba Primary School in the Ezo Diocese of the South Sudan has 786 pupils, half-andhalf boys and girls.  They are taught by eleven teachers!  There are also 110 nursery school children with just two teachers.  All schools in South Sudan closed last year , due to Covid but the school is up-and-running again but URGENTLY NEEDS OUR HELP.

This year's Christmas Appeal will support Masumba Primary School by providing desperately needed:

Teaching materials - books, biros, exercise books, desks and chairs

Solar panels - to charge visual display equipment

Training materials for teachers - books and dvds

School garden equipment - tools and protective netting to fend off hungry                                                    animals

A generous donor has offered to match fund all that we can raise in the Sherborne deanery so let's go for it!

Primary School children

The overall target is £7,000 with £3,500 coming from the Appeal so please help these wonderful children and teachers.
